Flix is seeking an Operational Accountant to strengthen the Finance Operations & Tax function for the Adriatic region (Croatia & Serbia). The role combines group-level finance responsibilities with local statutory and tax requirements, working closely with shared service centers and local advisors. You will also support your manager as a reliable backup to ensure continuity of key finance and tax activities.

Based in Zagreb with a hybrid work model, you will oversee accounting activities for the East region (Croatia and Serbia) in close collaboration with the Sofia-based accounting hub. Responsibilities include ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including balance sheet reconciliations, proper handling of payments, taxes, and statutory obligations; preparing and reviewing financial statements under local GAAP and IFRS, and managing adjustments and mappings between local and IFRS charts of accounts. You will act as a primary contact for external auditors and respond to HQ requests on reporting, accounting, and tax topics within scope. You will coordinate local tax compliance (corporate tax, VAT, and other local taxes) with external advisors, ensuring correct implementation of group guidelines. You will contribute to harmonization, standardization, and automation of finance processes across Europe and support the rollout of the new Finance Operations & Tax organization. You will partner closely with FP&A, Billing, and operational teams, and act as a reliable backup for the direct manager to ensure continuity of key finance and tax activities
