The finance software team powers SpaceX’s financial operations and ensures our financial systems are accurate, reliable, and secure as we scale launches, manufacturing, Starlink, AI, and chip design. As a Lead Software Engineer on the Application Software team, you will lead a team of engineers, own the system roadmap, and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities include prioritizing work, delivering features, building highly reliable software, and collaborating with finance stakeholders and partner software teams to ensure end-to-end data integrity. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or related field and 3+ years of software development experience, or 6+ years of experience in lieu of a degree; 1+ year of experience leading software teams; proficiency in Python, C#, .NET, Go, Java or similar; frontend experience with Angular or React; database experience with PostgreSQL/SQL Server; 4+ years building single-page web applications; experience with ERP, accounting, or financial planning systems; testing and infrastructure expertise; knowledge of financial data integrity, auditability, and access controls (SOX-aware systems a plus).
