Based in Malta, this hybrid role reports to the Finance Director and will manage the Malta office finance function, including supervising the Accounts Assistant and collaborating with internal teams, external auditors, banks, payment partners, and other stakeholders. You will take ownership of finance operations, ensure financial transactions are processed accurately, and oversee reconciliations for bank accounts and payment providers. You will lead accounts payable and accounts receivable, manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes, and prepare management accounts, financial reports, and supporting schedules. You will act as the primary contact for banks, PSPs, auditors, and external partners, coordinating statutory audits and documenting required schedules. You will maintain strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, and keep teams updated on accounting standards. You will track payment and transaction activity, resolve discrepancies, and mentor the Accounts Assistant. You will own quarterly VAT submissions for UK and Malta entities and assist with commission calculations for the commercial team and introducers.
