Idaho Housing and Finance Association is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our team in Boise, Idaho, United States. The Assistant Controller will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial operations, supervise multiple finance teams, and manage internal controls to maintain GAAP compliance, federal regulations, and industry standards. The position involves acting as the primary liaison with external auditors, coordinating audit activities, identifying process improvements, and delivering timely financial statements and stakeholder updates. Responsibilities include preparing consolidated year-end and quarterly financial statements, assisting with accounting estimates, budgeting, and forecasting, researching accounting standards to determine compliant actions, supervising and developing staff, and handling other duties as assigned. A CPA license is required; a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or related field) with at least 7 years of relevant experience and 3+ years of supervisory experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards, proficiency with accounting software and Excel, and effective communication skills are essential.
