Platform Engineering Manager – Device Management

Summary As the Platform Engineering Manager for Device Management, you will own the engineering and service for all enterprise and end-user devices and the endpoint management platforms across a multi-site Retail estate. You will lead the platform roadmap, engineering backlog, and standards, ensuring secure, reliable, low-friction device experiences for colleagues across Stores, Distribution Centres and Support Centre offices. You will drive a transformation towards a single platform view with clear guardrails for configuration, policy, packaging, deployment and lifecycle practices. You will be a platform owner and a people leader, not merely an endpoint administrator.

What you’ll do: - Lead the design, build, testing and operation of enterprise endpoint-management platforms, owning the roadmap, backlog, engineering standards and governance. - Define standard endpoint-management patterns for provisioning, policy, application deployment, upgrades and lifecycle practices to enable secure, low-touch device experiences across environments. - Own endpoint security, compliance and control posture across configuration, encryption, firewall, antivirus, patching, hardening, enforcement, reporting and remediation. - Ensure service stability and operational health by using analytics, reporting and rollout discipline to improve device experience, resilience, vulnerability management and continuous service improvement. - Lead and develop a multidisciplinary endpoint capability
