GP Automate is seeking a Finance Manager to join its London-based finance team on a hybrid basis. This hands-on role supports the Finance Director/Head of Finance with a broad range of financial and operational tasks, ensuring accurate processes, timely reporting, and insightful financial analysis across payroll, client payments, reconciliations, cashflow management, and budgeting.

Key responsibilities: - Prepare monthly management accounts (profit & loss, balance sheet) and provide commentary for the Finance Director and senior leadership. - Maintain and improve financial reporting processes and templates; support month-end and year-end close. - Manage end-to-end payroll, liaising with HR on starters, leavers, and remuneration changes; ensure HMRC compliance (PAYE, NIC, pension). - Oversee client payments, raise invoices, monitor aged debtors, and respond to billing queries. - Perform regular bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations; assist with accounts payable reconciliations. - Prepare weekly/monthly cashflow forecasts and monitor variances; support working capital management. - Assist in annual budgeting and periodic reforecasts; challenge inputs with budget holders; track actuals vs budget. - Maintain accurate accounting records; prepare VAT returns; support external audits; drive improvements to controls.
