Inter IKEA Group is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join the Home Smart team. This full-time role is based in Malmö, Sweden and offers a hybrid work arrangement with most work performed on-site. The Embedded Team owns the software platform for our Linux-based home gateways and covers work from low-level system integration and networking to Matter device onboarding and interoperability.

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will collaborate with cloud and mobile teams to deliver a seamless smart home experience, develop and integrate new features for the Home Smart gateway, troubleshoot connectivity across Matter, Thread, Wi-Fi and cloud services, analyze logs and protocol traces to resolve interoperability problems, and automate tests to improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications include a broad software background spanning architecture, design, requirements, coding and testing; experience with Embedded Linux, C++, networking and IoT; and strong written and verbal communication. Nice-to-have experience includes Yocto, ZigBee, Matter, Wi-Fi, IPv6, cybersecurity, hardware bring-up and OTA.
