About the role

Overview: The Web Developer Work Study position supports the Senior Digital & Graphic Designer in maintaining Drury University's website, including updates to UI/UX interfaces, content, graphics, designs, data dashboards, and page layouts. The role requires staying current with digital trends and making recommendations to the Marketing & Communications team.

Responsibilities

Required Skills: Education and Experience: Work Conditions:

Assist with web update requests submitted through the department’s ticketing system.
Help deliver a strong user experience on the university site to serve students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other stakeholders.
Coordinate with Drury personnel requesting changes to ensure web content is current, relevant, and consistent.
Participate in ongoing efforts to update each department’s web presence.
Basic HTML, CSS, and background knowledge of web technologies.
Familiarity with WordPress is preferred.
Experience with content management systems and basic web development software.
Ability to learn new technologies, focus on details, and organize workload.
Ability to work independently and set goals to complete tasks on time.
Must be a regular, full-time student enrolled in at least 12 hours per semester.
Must have a completed FAFSA on file with Financial Aid for the current academic year.
The work environment is typically quiet; reasonable accommodations available.
Physical requirements include sitting, using hands, speaking and hearing; ability to stand, walk, reach, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
