About the role
ST Engineering is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join the Cloud & Data Centre Solutions team in London, United Kingdom. The ideal candidate will have 3–4 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, with a passion for cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, CloudWatch, etc.) following security, scalability, and cost-optimization best practices.
- Develop and maintain Terraform templates and modules to automate provisioning and configuration.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud systems to ensure reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to enable smooth deployment and compliance.
- Implement infrastructure monitoring, logging, and alerting (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Maintain documentation, version control, and configuration management across environments.
- Participate in architecture discussions, proofs-of-concept, and ongoing improvements to infrastructure automation.
- 3–4 years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud and IaC (Terraform).
- 1–2 years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure engineering or DevOps (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of AWS services (compute, storage, networking, IAM, monitoring).
- Terraform proficiency for provisioning and management.
