About the role
Overview: The Web Developer Work Study position supports the Senior Digital & Graphic Designer in maintaining Drury University's website, including updates to UI/UX interfaces, content, graphics, designs, data dashboards, and page layouts. The role requires staying current with digital trends and making recommendations to the Marketing & Communications team.
Responsibilities

- Assist with web update requests submitted through the department’s ticketing system.
- Help deliver a strong user experience on the university site to serve students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Drury personnel requesting changes to ensure web content is current, relevant, and consistent.
- Participate in ongoing efforts to update each department’s web presence.
- Basic HTML, CSS, and background knowledge of web technologies.
- Familiarity with WordPress is preferred.
- Experience with content management systems and basic web development software.
- Ability to learn new technologies, focus on details, and organize workload.
- Ability to work independently and set goals to complete tasks on time.
- Must be a regular, full-time student enrolled in at least 12 hours per semester.
- Must have a completed FAFSA on file with Financial Aid for the current academic year.
- The work environment is typically quiet; reasonable accommodations available.
- Physical requirements include sitting, using hands, speaking and hearing; ability to stand, walk, reach, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
