Contabo is hiring two full-time, permanent Senior Software Developers for Platform & Infrastructure Engineering. This role is based in Munich, Germany, with a remote-first approach and the option to work hybrid or on-site depending on proximity to our offices. You will join a green-field project team building and maintaining the business logic and infrastructure primitives for Contabo's new product line. Responsibilities include implementing authentication, exposing infrastructure primitives such as virtual servers, storage, networking, as well as accounts, projects, feature flags, and related components. The core team will expose these primitives to customers and internal teams to enable value-added services. What we are looking for: experience in backend and API engineering, production experience with modern backend languages (Go, Python, Java, or Rust), designing and building stable APIs for infrastructure consumption, familiarity with IaaS provisioning stacks (OpenStack, Kubernetes/OpenStack, Ceph, LVM), container orchestration (Kubernetes or equivalent) and virtualization platforms, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Ansible), and large-scale infrastructure operations. A mindset of solution-agnostic evaluation and ownership spanning backend and infrastructure, and comfort with on-call and incident response. English fluency is required; German language skills are a bonus. Ten-plus years of combined experience is preferred.
