Contabo is seeking two full-time, permanent Senior Software Developers for Platform & Infrastructure Engineering to join a green-field project. The team will design and implement authentication and expose infrastructure primitives such as virtual servers, storage, and networking, as well as accounts, projects, and feature flags, enabling internal teams and customers to build on top of these primitives and create additional value (including managed services). The core team will expose our product to customers and internal teams for further use cases. You will focus on building the business-logic layer of the new product line and make design, code, and infrastructure decisions aligned with our product strategy and time-to-market. The role requires a balance between speed and reliability, readiness to participate in on-call and to proactively improve system redundancy.

What you will contribute: - Backend & API Engineering with production experience in Go, Python, Java, or Rust, including API design for infrastructure consumption. - Infrastructure expertise with IaaS provisioning stacks (OpenStack Nova/Ironic/Octavia, KubeVirt/QEMU/libvirt, Ceph, LVM), Kubernetes or comparable orchestration, virtualization platforms (KVM/OpenStack or similar), and Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/Ansible). - Experience with large-scale infrastructure operations and a solution-agnostic mindset that spans backend and infrastructure ownership. - Comfort with on-call and production incident response. - Plus: 10+ years of combined experience; fluent English; German language skills are a plus.
