AutoZone is seeking an Assistant Marketing Manager to lead planning, activation, analysis, and reporting of local marketing initiatives, including high-profile sports sponsorships such as the AutoZone Liberty Bowl and the World Golf Championships – FedEx St. Jude Invitational. The role serves as the key liaison with cross-functional teams including internal marketing, merchants, store operations, commercial, community relations, event volunteers, agencies, and external vendors. The Assistant Marketing Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive sponsorships and activations.

Responsibilities

Oversee planning, execution, and post-event evaluation of sports sponsorships.
Manage program renewals, obtain approvals, maintain contracts, and provide input on new opportunities.
Collaborate with partnership developers on ideation and conception, including attending or leading meetings.
Provide ongoing updates to ensure effective communication across activation groups and management.
Create post-event evaluations to understand value, execution, and opportunities for future events.
Coordinate content development for sponsorship assets (media, event, digital, social).
Prepare AutoZone executives for on-air interviews or event appearances.
Work with brand/creative teams on development of assets (signage, promotions, collateral, social).
Collaborate with the rewards team for Loyalty promotions and hospitality activation.
Coordinate on-site activations with vendors, event hosts, and stakeholders during planning and execution.
