Transport Operations Controller - North Region

Based in North West Leicestershire, United Kingdom, this hybrid role leads the real-time execution of the transport plan across Northern distribution centres and third-party logistics partners. You will ensure excellent service for stores, distribution centres and customers while driving cost efficiency and sustainable transport solutions. You will adapt plans in-day to changing operational demands and coordinate additional routes and resource reallocations. You will manage service challenges and maintain transport performance through stakeholder engagement, daily operational calls and the LPC Operations mailbox.

This role offers the opportunity to build strong relationships across multiple sites, drive continuous improvement, and influence operational excellence within the wider M&S logistics network. You will make confident, data-driven decisions using Power BI, transport management systems and operational communications. Experience in transport, warehousing or retail operations and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners are essential. A proactive, commercially aware approach, knowledge of subcontracting models, and experience with transport systems are advantageous.
