Senior Software Engineer is a permanent, on-site role based in Sofia, Bulgaria, joining Fastmarkets' Software Engineering Team to help grow our technology and accelerate product delivery. You will contribute to the flagship digital platform that serves global customers with price data, news and analytics across multiple channels, including web, desktop, API, Excel and mobile applications. The role focuses on the search functionality and offers opportunities to broaden knowledge across the Fastmarkets platform while collaborating with engineers, business analysts, and product managers. The tech stack includes .NET/C#, GraphDB, Elasticsearch and Azure cloud, with a culture of AI-assisted development using tools such as Anthropic Claude Code, GitHub Copilot and CodeRabbit. Responsibilities include software design and development, applying solid engineering principles to build scalable, secure and maintainable solutions, ensuring code quality and testability, implementing automated tests, and maintaining documentation. You will participate in Agile ceremonies, work with cross-functional teams across geographies, and contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes. Qualifications include strong experience with .NET/C#, GraphDB, Elasticsearch, object-oriented programming, REST/SOA, distributed systems, CI/CD, and experience using AI coding tools to accelerate development.
