Leonardo UK is seeking an organised Production Controller to join our manufacturing team in Yeovil, England. Working with the MRP Manager, you will coordinate the timely and efficient supply of materials and components to support manufacturing and assembly operations. You will ensure material availability aligns with the Master Production Plan, guaranteeing the right parts are available in the correct quantities at the right time, and you will proactively identify and resolve shortages or delivery risks to support on-time delivery and business objectives. You will collaborate across Production, Purchasing, Stores, Planning and other departments to maintain an effective flow of materials, resolve issues such as serial number queries, and ensure data cleanliness (e.g., CNF/DEL statuses) and BOM accuracy in production orders. Key tasks include launching production orders, managing data transfers, closing rework and labour-only orders, generating WIP/statistics reports, reviewing shortages with other functions, expediting stockouts, liaising with logistics for kitting, auditing kitting racks, and supporting shop queries. You will also assist with offload activities, escalate priority parts, and support SAP MM/PP usage. The ideal candidate will have an HNC or equivalent (desirable), strong Excel skills, practical SAP MM/PP knowledge, and good understanding of MRP and manufacturing processes, with strong communication and teamwork abilities.
