VodafoneThree is recruiting a Financial Accountant – Revenue for a 12-month fixed-term contract / secondment based in Newbury, United Kingdom. The role sits in the Consumer Business Revenue & Margin team and is part of a 22-person group responsible for some of the most complex accounting areas and for recording approximately £2.5bn of annual revenues. You will be responsible for a wide range of month-end journal calculations and postings and related balance sheet reconciliations covering revenues and margin, including entities such as the Smarty brand, B2B accounts, supply chain costs, and LOB allocations. You will also support the line manager with ad hoc month-end revenue and margin tasks and reports, and help collect required SOX evidence. You will collaborate with counterparts in the VFUK team to compare accounting policies and processes and implement best practices. Key activities include monthly revenue and margin journals in Oracle, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, identifying risks and opportunities, and ensuring SOX controls evidence is collated. The ideal candidate is part-qualified or QBE, with strong general accounting experience, proficiency in Excel and Oracle, and a willingness to work in a hybrid environment. Prior mobile telecoms industry experience, SAP, and process integration experience are advantageous.
