Qliro is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Credit & Fraud team, central to the Pay Later platform. Based in Stockholm, Sweden, this on-site role focuses on building the next generation of the system to handle higher transaction volumes and to operate across multiple markets beyond the Nordics. You will help design scalable architectures and contribute to AI-driven approaches for credit and fraud decisioning, with a strong emphasis on explainability, fairness, and auditability. The team currently processes tens of thousands of credit and fraud checks daily and uses a containerized microservices architecture with daily production deployments. The tech stack includes C#, .NET, AWS, Docker + Swarm, Kubernetes, microservices, event-driven architecture, RabbitMQ, Terraform, GitLab, MS SQL Server, DynamoDB, Redis, OpenTelemetry + Grafana, and Kibana. We value experience modernizing legacy systems, working with agile engineering practices, and a mindset focused on speed, correctness, and reliability in distributed systems. Beneficial experience includes working with credit engines or financial decisioning, cloud providers, and owning a full platform (monitoring, infrastructure, CI/CD, and production operations).
