This team builds and maintains foundational services and SDKs powering Speechify across platforms. The role sits at the intersection of product and infrastructure, focusing on designing clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that enhance the user experience. What you’ll do: Collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects, streamline scope for fast customer feedback, navigate UX tradeoffs for different product teams, and deliver solutions via cross-platform SDKs. Optimize existing functionality for faster loading and better parsing by designing efficient abstractions and improving algorithms. Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin. Ideal candidate: Systems thinking; end-to-end design and value simplicity. Speed and decision-making to ship quickly. Focus and discipline for a fast-growing remote team. Collaboration: ability to inspire and negotiate with designers, marketers, and PMs. Preferred tech: Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience is OK but focus on Kotlin Multiplatform).
