Senior Software Engineer based in New Orleans, United States, responsible for designing, architecting, and delivering native Windows desktop applications. This is a remote-only position. You will drive accessibility, performance, and end-to-end feature ownership for the Windows platform by using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML, and, when needed, C++. You will define best practices for Windows desktop development across the codebase, focusing on maintainability and cross-version compatibility (Windows 10/11+), and collaborate with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and other stakeholders to shape feature planning and the long-term roadmap. You will own the full lifecycle of features—from conception to release and maintenance—ensuring high quality, reliability, and scalable performance. You will identify and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and rendering or compatibility issues, proposing robust architectural or design solutions. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of Windows desktop development with Windows App SDK/WinUI/C#/XAML and, ideally, experience with native Windows code (C++/Win32/WinRT/COM); a deep understanding of Windows application architecture; strong experience with accessibility APIs; solid software engineering fundamentals; experience leading technical design and mentoring engineers; and excellent communication skills with a user-centric mindset.
