This role will build and maintain the foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms. You will design clear, reliable APIs and simple, scalable systems that directly enhance the user experience, working at the intersection of product and infrastructure. Responsibilities include collaborating with product teams to scope projects, reducing scope to accelerate customer feedback, and delivering solutions via cross-platform SDKs; optimizing functionality for faster loading and smarter parsing by designing efficient abstractions; shipping cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin. Ideal candidates demonstrate systems thinking, speed, focus, and collaboration with designers, marketers, and PMs. Preferred tech stack includes Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable) and experience with GCP.
