Rockwell Automation Engineer (Hybrid) – Dublin, Ireland

SimoTech is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to deliver Rockwell-based automation solutions for a client in Dublin. This role involves configuring, commissioning, troubleshooting, and supporting Rockwell-based control systems, as well as contributing to system design and integration projects. Experience with inspection systems and IIoT technologies will be considered a strong advantage. The successful candidate will demonstrate hands-on technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities: - Design, configure, and implement automation solutions using Rockwell platforms (ControlLogix, PlantPAx, FactoryTalk). - Provide technical support for installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automation systems. - Participate in system integration activities, ensuring communication between equipment and control systems. - Develop and review automation documentation includingURS, Functional Design, and test protocols. - Perform FAT/SAT and support startup activities for process and packaging equipment. - Troubleshoot complex control issues to maintain operational continuity and optimize performance. - Collaborate with clients, vendors, and project teams on automation and digitalization initiatives. - Support continuous improvement and adoption of IIoT solutions. - Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity principles and MES/digital manufacturing platforms is a plus.
