METRO Deutschland GmbH is seeking an Inside Sales Manager (m/f/d) to be the first point of contact for our core customers in the hospitality and gastronomy sectors. This on-site role in Cologne involves advising customers by phone on our range and services, strengthening loyalty, and helping to achieve joint sales targets with the field sales team.

Responsibilities

Qualifications: We offer:

Serve as the primary telephone contact for top regular customers, delivering reliable and proactive support.
Manage the order processing and ongoing service for delivery customers, coordinating closely with regional delivery locations.
Identify customer needs and proactively advise on Gastro Service solutions and promotional products.
Collaborate with the field sales team to develop and execute strategy plans to reach sales targets and execute them with enthusiasm.
Continuously review actions for success and identify optimization opportunities.
Work within a cross-functional team including account managers in outside sales, wholesale markets, and delivery.
Ideally a completed commercial apprenticeship (Kaufmann for Büromanagement or Großhandelskaufmann) or alternative hospitality experience (e.g., restaurant/hotel) or as a cook.

Experience in sales/telephone sales (inbound/outbound) is a plus; proficient in MS Office.
Strong communication skills, sales talent, customer orientation, and the ability to adapt to different conversation partners.
