Acoustical Sheetmetal Company (ASC) is seeking an HR Generalist to partner with leaders and employees by supporting day-to-day human resources operations and ensuring consistent application of company policies, employment practices, and employee relations processes. This on-site position in Virginia Beach, United States, will address workplace concerns, support performance management, facilitate onboarding, and ensure compliance with policies and employment regulations. Success in this role will be measured by employee engagement, policy compliance, workforce support, conflict resolution effectiveness, and the overall employee experience.

Key responsibilities: - Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees, guiding policies, procedures, benefits, and workplace concerns. - Conduct confidential employee relations investigations; maintain confidentiality and professionalism. - Support supervisors with performance management, coaching, corrective actions, and development initiatives. - Facilitate conflict resolution and maintain a positive, respectful, productive work environment. - Lead onboarding, new-hire orientation, and completion of employment documentation. - Enforce company policies and applicable employment laws; monitor attendance and turnover; identify opportunities for improvement. - Assist employees with benefits inquiries, enrollment issues, leave administration, and other HR programs. - Review and validate timekeeping records; resolve discrepancies with supervisors. - Support return-to-work programs and workers' compensation-related activiti
