Wand is building the Agentic Shift by creating the world’s first Agentic Labor Infrastructure to help governments and global enterprises build, manage, and scale digital workforces. We are hiring a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join University, a brand-new team focused on agent memory, evolution, and reasoning. For the initial six months there will be no model training, no fine-tuning, and no deep GPU work; we deploy through the cloud and focus on high-leverage activities that move quickly from concept to shipped product. This is a senior technical role with broad scope as the team is standing up. Role responsibilities include: - Build agent memory systems: design, implement, and maintain mechanisms that generate, curate, refine, and store contextual information. - Design memory with constraints: ensure confidentiality and proper scoping so agents do not leak sensitive information. - Develop systems to monitor how agents behave across the organization and translate findings into shared best practices at scale. - Create reusable “skills” that agents can call on to improve reasoning, financial decisions, and report writing. - Design and run tests and benchmarks to demonstrate improvements. - Help shape the technical roadmap for agent memory and reasoning as the team scales. - Tackle undefined problems and deliver real, shippable solutions. - Document methodologies clearly to enable others to build on them.
