Technical Support Engineer in Raleigh, NC, responsible for managing prompt resolution of global customer and partner service requests within a highly secured environment. The role collaborates with Customer Service, Engineering, Finance, Sales, Alliances, and Operations to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction with all transactions. You will provide support via phone, email, and WebEx focused on the Qualys portfolio and its integration with customer environments. Qualifications include hands-on networking knowledge, a strong Windows foundation and/or Unix/Linux experience in an enterprise setting, and a passion for security. Preferred candidates have CISSP/CEH or equivalent credentials. Key skills include TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, experience with common OS services (IIS, BIND, Apache, AD, WINS, Samba, SSH), firewall and IDS technologies, Windows Active Directory authentication and security, Samba/AD integration, and experience with Splunk for log queries and dashboards. Experience with packet capture, Oracle and SQL knowledge, and scripting (Bash, Python) is desirable. Familiarity with systems management tools (KACE, GPO deployments), and web server software (IIS, Apache, WebSphere, Tomcat, WebLogic) across Linux/Windows is a plus. Certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, and CEH are highly desirable. Experience with customer support and development tools (Salesforce, JIRA) is preferred.
