Scale AI is seeking a Tech Lead for the ARC (Architecture, Reliability, & Compute) team within our Public Sector Engineering group. As the team lead, you will define how Scale ships software, establishing patterns for deploying into government and high-security environments, and build internal CLIs and tools that standardize testing, deployment, and environment management. You will drive automated deployment efforts to reduce technical debt, create functional staging and testing environments, and set the standard for safe deployments. In this role you will mentor team members, manage performance, and guide the technical direction of the team. Responsibilities also include designing secure, scalable backend systems for Public Sector customers, re-architecting services to operate in compliant environments with swappable components for auth, storage, and logging, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet government requirements. You will engage with customers to understand needs and contribute to the platform roadmap and product strategy for Scale AI's Public Sector offerings. Must have at least an active secret clearance. Preferred qualifications include Full Stack development, cloud-native technologies, security focus, problem-solving, collaboration, and adaptability.
