PetZoo is hiring a Team Lead for our Anchorage, Alaska location. On-site Team Lead will supervise store personnel, lead daily operations, and ensure outstanding customer service in line with company standards. Duties include training staff across departments (warehouse, receiving, pets department, and cashier), modeling excellent service, maintaining store cleanliness, and safeguarding assets. The role involves inventory control, directing merchandising and pricing, communicating promotions, stocking, backstock, and handling live animals with care. You will manage cash handling procedures, deposits, end-of-day paperwork, and reconcile daily sales, deposits, and invoices. Additional responsibilities include processing inter-store transfers, cycle counts, bank runs, price changes, maintaining transfer logs, returns to vendor, and other tasks as assigned by management. Requirements include at least one year of leadership experience, one year of cash handling experience, proficiency with MS Office and POS systems, and the physical ability to stand and lift up to 50 pounds (Palmer location may require 50-100 pounds). The position requires flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to work in various areas of the store, including handling live animals and farm products. Salary: $18/hour + DOE.
