You will work on core data architecture that touches every part of the product, focusing on relational, time-series, and columnar stores, and contribute to a home-grown SQL generation engine that queries Trino, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and Oracle. Responsibilities include setting technical direction for the Data Access team, delivering features end-to-end, driving design and code reviews, developing comprehensive test strategies, and mentoring other engineers. Qualifications include 8+ years of software development (or 6+ with a Master's; 3+ with a PhD), expert Java backend skills, strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, MS SQL Server, Trino), and experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and distributed systems. Nice-to-have: familiarity with the ServiceNow platform, Unix shell, DevOps, and customer-focused experience. Base pay for this location ranges from $176,100 to $308,200, plus equity where applicable, and a full benefits package.
