The software applications team builds mission-critical software used across SpaceX to accelerate launch vehicle production, flight, and Starlink operations. You will own all aspects of software engineering and product development, build prototypes to validate design concepts, and collaborate with engineers on architecture, design, and code reviews to deliver robust solutions. Responsibilities include developing highly reliable software used across SpaceX, creating new applications to improve operations, building prototypes, and deeply analyzing user problems to deliver efficient solutions. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a related field; or 2+ years of professional software experience • Experience in full-stack development • Proficiency in Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or similar object-oriented languages • 1+ year of experience building single-page web applications • Experience with version control, CI/CD, and related workflows • Strong software design and system architecture skills • Knowledge of testing, CI/CD, deployment, and monitoring • Experience with profiling and performance optimization • Experience with build systems (Make, Bazel/Pants/Buck, Gradle) and package managers (pip, npm) • UNIX-like systems and tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet) • Experience with streaming data technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ) • Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes • Front-end experience with Angular, React, or similar • Databas
