As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will lead engineers across multiple teams and locations to build and operate the GCE Control Plane Platform at Google Cloud. You will drive project goals, contribute to product strategy, and help develop your team to optimize both their code and the overall system. Responsibilities include scaling high-performing engineering teams to manage the foundational infrastructure of the GCE Control Plane, building a Reliable by Design environment to improve resiliency against hyper-accelerated AI workloads, fostering a culture of blast radius containment, hitless maintenance, and dynamic capacity assurance, guiding multi-dimensional sharding and automated disaster recovery for a rapidly scaling AI fleet, and defining technical objectives to enhance platform security and automate continuous compliance. You will establish automated validation pipelines to ensure data stores meet RPO/RTO objectives and maintain resiliency. The role involves close collaboration with product, operations, and executive stakeholders to drive platform strategy and the deployment of large-scale projects across sites.
