Google's XR team develops next-generation technologies for the world-sensing stack, including visual-inertial fusion, odometry, localization, mapping, calibration, and head-tracking image processing. Our work powers devices across the XR ecosystem, including headsets, smart glasses, and mobile phones, and supports the AndroidXR ecosystem, GalaxyXR, and upcoming devices such as Aura. In this role, you will develop head-tracking components for a variety of XR devices, using vision and IMU data in real-time on power-constrained compute environments. You will work with stakeholders to define requirements and drive algorithm design, implementation, and end-to-end verification. You may initiate, contribute to, or lead new research collaborations with partner teams to deliver novel technical components solving the toughest challenges facing consumer AR devices on commodity hardware.
