Senior Software Engineer (Java) – Warehouse Automation

Overview Our Java teams in the Warehouse Systems domain build tools and automations to power our warehouse platform, handling inbound items, conveyor flows, and delivery handoffs. You will design, develop, and test new features while improving scalability and security, managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables in a fast-growing environment.

What you’ll do - Take ownership of projects from concept to delivery, aligning technical solutions with business goals - Solve problems with technology, always keeping users in mind - Collaborate on cross-team initiatives involving complex systems to ensure smooth warehouse operations - Share expertise on technical decisions and simplify complex flows with real-world impact

Tech you’ll work with Java 21/25 (Spring 6 with Spring Boot 3.5, Reactor, Immutables, Maven), RabbitMQ, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Git, Docker, AWS, Helm, Terraform, Kubernetes, Vault, Datadog, Python 3.x, TypeScript

What we’re looking for - Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience - 5+ years of professional Java backend development - Strong English skills (Dutch not required) - Experience with AI tooling and agentic engineering - Based in or willing to relocate to the Netherlands

Location and work setup - Hybrid work arrangement; our office is in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Some days on-site are preferred, with flexibility for remote work as needed.
