The Senior Financial Accountant will support the preparation and review of financial, regulatory and tax reporting for all entities within the Steamship group. Key responsibilities include: preparing and reviewing financial statements for insurance and management companies in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS, on a quarterly and annual basis; preparing consolidated and combined financial statements; preparing quarterly and annual regulatory returns for the insurance companies and branches in the UK, Bermuda, Singapore and Hong Kong; acting as lead contact for external audits and liaising with local and component auditors; reviewing ad hoc regulatory/statistical returns for the FCA, ONS, NAIC and others; liaising with tax consultants and submitting UK, Singapore and Hong Kong corporation tax returns; reviewing UK VAT returns and Singapore GST returns; monthly review of trial balances and balance sheet reconciliations; reviewing the intercompany matrix; acting as systems administrator for Unit 4 Financials by CODA and participating in system upgrades/testing; and serving on Finance and Compliance committees. Undertakes ad hoc duties as reasonably requested by line management.
