As a Senior Data Engineer, you will shape the technical foundation for data-driven decisions across the Walter Group. You will develop scalable data solutions, integrate information from diverse sources, and provide high-quality data for analytics, business intelligence, and data science.

Responsibilities

Qualifications:

Data Engineering: Develop scalable batch and streaming pipelines and ensure reliable processing of large data volumes.
Platform & Architecture: Together with your team, continuously advance our cloud data platform, optimizing for scalability, performance, and cost.
DataOps & Automation: Establish modern development standards, implement CI/CD and orchestration processes, and ensure a stable and automated operation of our data platform.
Integration & Data Quality: Integrate data from diverse sources—from legacy systems to APIs to streaming platforms—and ensure high data quality across the data lifecycle.
Collaboration: Work with Business Intelligence, Data Science, and business units to develop robust data products that enable informed decisions.
Mentoring & Development: Support colleagues with technical questions, share knowledge, and actively contribute to the evolution of our engineering standards.
Completed studies in computer science, information systems, or a comparable education.
