Senior Accountant is a fully remote opportunity listed on behalf of a partner company for a global nonprofit organization based in the United States. The role covers day-to-day accounting across accounts receivable, grants receivable, accounts payable, payroll support, general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial reporting, with a focus on multi-currency transactions and consolidated reporting across international entities. You will collaborate with the Finance Manager, CFO, and international colleagues to maintain consistent processes and reporting standards. Responsibilities include grant and program code management, AP processing, vendor invoice review and payment, W-8/W-9 maintenance, year-end 1099s and related controls, W-2/W-3 payroll reconciliations, month-end and year-end close, and preparation of monthly and consolidated financial statements. You will review international subsidiary accounting information and support tax filings (Form 990 and state returns) and audits. Requirements: at least 7 years of nonprofit accounting or finance operations experience, bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), proficiency with QuickBooks Online or similar software, hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, GL, reconciliations, and financial reporting, familiarity with grant-funded organizations and revenue recognition, ability to work independently in a remote environment, and authorization to work in the United States.
