This senior role involves delivering features, presenting solutions to architects, guiding technical implementation, and coordinating tasks with engineers. You will work with QA to review testing approaches, maintain internal feature documentation, and communicate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results. Based in Lisbon, Portugal with remote work options, the role requires a strong backend focus and substantial experience in enterprise application design and development. Qualifications include 2+ years of backend development experience, 1+ year building scalable distributed data systems using Java and cloud technologies, and solid Java expertise (Java 8+). You should be comfortable mentoring junior engineers, making daily technical decisions, and maintaining code quality with good unit and integration test coverage. Additional advantages include experience with SaaS support, Big Data technologies, No-SQL databases, and cloud services such as AWS, GBT, and Azure. MS or equivalent degree is a plus.
