About the role

Leidos is seeking an experienced Principal Solutions Architect to join the DoD Enterprise IT Modernization (DEIM) team, supporting a large-scale digital modernization program for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and DoD Fourth Estate agencies. The Principal Solutions Architect collaborates with Leidos and government technical leadership to drive innovation, growth, and efficiency across the portfolio. Clearance: Active DoD Secret clearance required. U.S. Citizenship required. This role is 100% remote, with travel to Reston, VA headquarters for key meetings and events as needed.

Leidos is seeking an experienced Principal Solutions Architect to join the DoD Enterprise IT Modernization (DEIM) team, supporting a large-scale digital modernization program for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and DoD Fourth Estate agencies. The Principal Solutions Architect collaborates with Leidos and government technical leadership to drive innovation, growth, and efficiency across the portfolio. Key responsibilities: - Support the DEIM Chief Engineer in identifying service gaps and improvement opportunities; lead analysis of alternatives and proofs of concept to authorize improvements. - Standardize, automate, and streamline site surveys and migrations to be repeatable, flexible, and efficient. - Expand automation to reduce staffing demand, lower the risk of human error, and free staff for higher‑complexity work. - Establish open design principles to avoid vendor lock‑in and minimize custom configuration. - Incorporate emerging technologies that strengthen cybersecurity, reduce total cost of ownership, and improve the end‑user experience. - Partner with project teams to ensure execution aligned with each approved improvement; conduct feasibility assessments and detailed analyses; document and present results to Leidos and Government stakeholders. - Oversee proofs of concept (three months or less) that deliver demonstrable, measurable insights; draft detailed project plans cover
