About the role

Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Commercial & Investment Bank – Digital & Platform Services. This on-site role in Plano, Texas offers the opportunity to join an agile team that builds and delivers trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, scalable environment. As a core technical contributor, you will conduct critical technology solutions across multiple domains in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Responsibilities

Deliver creative software solutions, design, develop, and troubleshoot, with the ability to think beyond routine approaches to build solutions.
Develop secure, high-quality production code; review and debug code written by others.
Lead the adoption of enterprise-approved AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes; establish consistent validation standards and promote reuse.
Apply knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including AI-assisted development and automation, to improve value.
Lead end-to-end delivery of full-stack features spanning ReactJS UI, Java/Python backend services, SQL persistence, and Kafka event streaming.
Drive spec-driven development by authoring and maintaining executable specifications (APIs, events, data contracts) as the source of truth; ensure implementation and tests stay aligned to the spec.
Use AI-assisted development frameworks to accelerate requirements-to-spec, spec-to-implementation, and spec-to-test workflows while maintaining engineering rigor.
Design and implement scalable REST APIs
