The Opportunity Tree, a nonprofit serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is seeking a Human Resources Manager to oversee the HR department in Phoenix, Arizona. This full-time, on-site role will administer, coordinate, and evaluate HR operations, lead the HR team (HR Assistant and HR Generalist), and partner with managers to recruit, hire, onboard, and develop staff while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies. Responsibilities include managing HR processes from recruitment to terminations, maintaining employee records in HRIS, conducting New Employee Orientation, administering benefits and leaves (FMLA, workers’ compensation), coordinating with the insurance broker for renewals and open enrollment, managing performance evaluations, handling employee relations and conflict resolution, and ensuring confidentiality. The position also supports training coordination and ensures state-specific training requirements (Arizona) are met, including Fingerprint Clearance Card compliance where required. Qualifications include a four-year degree (preferred) in Human Resources Management, Business, Nonprofit Management, or related field, 3–4 years of HR experience (nonprofit preferred), and supervisory experience. Candidates must be at least 18, have a valid driver’s license, be fluent in English, and be proficient with MS Office 365, SharePoint, and HRIS.
