As a member of the HR EMEA team, the HR Generalist will serve as the primary point of contact for the Madrid, Spain office, collaborating with managers at the Madrid corporate office and two other sites in Northern and Southern Spain. The role delivers HR services across the employee lifecycle while ensuring compliance with Spanish labor laws and company policies. It also supports HR Operations functions, including onboarding and assimilation, training and development, performance management, employee engagement, and payroll for the EMEA region. The HR Generalist will also manage communications to Gunvor’s employees through channels such as the local HR intranet. The position may back up the HR Operations Specialist and other EMEA HR Generalists as needed. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 5+ years of HR experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and thorough knowledge of Spanish employment laws. Fluency in Spanish and English is required, with additional European languages considered an asset. Experience collaborating with payroll providers and HRIS systems, as well as the ability to influence leaders and foster a positive work environment, are highly valued.
