HR Generalist is a strategic partner between human resources and the assigned business unit. This role provides guidance and support on employee relations, talent management, performance management, benefits, and organizational development while building trusted relationships across the organization. Responsibilities include providing full-cycle recruitment services (creating and posting jobs, conducting phone and in-person interviews, presenting offers, performing background checks, and coordinating onboarding); managing employee relations issues under the oversight of the VP of Human Resources; guiding performance management and development; improving work relationships, morale, productivity and retention; supporting high-volume seasonal recruitment and onboarding for summer camps and other seasonal roles; submitting workers’ compensation claims; supporting organizational effectiveness activities including leadership development and change management; delivering training programs; maintaining knowledge of employment law and HIPAA compliance; leading employee engagement initiatives; assisting with time-tracking, vacation, sick and other absence processes; conducting monthly department meetings; maintaining secure employee files; following Cooper policies and standard operating procedures; and performing other duties as assigned.
