Primera is seeking a Facilities Engineering Project Manager to support the Chicago Department of Water’s multibillion Capital Improvement Program (CIP). This role will oversee multiple service providers to plan, design, and construct CIP projects, including water purification plants, intake structures, pumping stations, reservoirs, hydraulic structures, buildings, and large conveyances for raw and finished water. The initial 90 days will be on-site at the Jardine Water Purification Plant, 1000 E Ohio St, Chicago, IL 60611. After onboarding, the position offers hybrid work flexibility with remote work options. Responsibilities include: serving as the Project Manager for CIP development and delivery; providing technical oversight for project implementation and coordination with DWM and external groups; leading conceptual development, RFQ preparation, designer selection, and scope/fee negotiations; coordinating contract negotiations with design and construction management consultants; managing project teams, monitoring consultant performance and contractual commitments; ensuring schedule, budget and quality objectives; supervising technical professionals and other project managers, including workload and staffing management; monitoring and reporting financial and completion status of projects to the client; performing other duties as requested by the supervisor.
