Engineering Manager, Preorder Shipping – Purchase domain at Vinted. Based in Vilnius, Lithuania, this hybrid role leads a cross-functional team of Backend, Frontend (iOS, Android, Web), QA engineers and SDET responsible for the preorder shipping experience across the platform, including shipping options, rates, and pickup flows.
In this position you’ll: - Delivery & Product Collaboration - Own Team Delivery: be accountable for the delivery cycle time, sprint planning, and execution of preorder shipping features. - Empower the EPDA Sync: partner closely with your Product Manager, Product Designer, and Decision Scientist to translate product vision and experimentation objectives into clear, incremental technical deliverables. - Bridge to VGo: manage the tight technical touchpoints, API contracts, and integration roadmaps with the Vinted Go platform team (carrier/rates configurations, Rate Recommender integrations).
- Quality of Engineering & Architecture - Drive Service Decoupling: drive the extraction of shipping-related capabilities from our legacy monolith into our new domain service (svc-shipping-estimation). - Maintain Technical Excellence: foster adherence to Vinted’s core engineering principles, ensuring systems are scalable, performant, and monitored via robust SLIs/SLOs. - Manage Tech Debt: balance short-term product delivery speed with long-term code health, keeping technical debt visible and prioritized in the team’s backlog. - Incident Ownership: ensure high availability of critical checkout flows; lead incident management within scope, write post-
