Key Responsibilities: Design, create, and maintain databases in a client/server environment. Plan and execute migrations of databases and related data from physical/IaaS to virtual AWS instances. Configure databases for optimal performance, resilience, replication, reporting, administration, and data backup/archiving. Design, implement, and maintain complex databases with respect to SQL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods. Apply knowledge of database technologies, development methodologies, and front-end (e.g., Cognos) / back-end programming languages (e.g., SQL). Perform database programming and support systems design. Contribute to runbooks for maintenance of database dictionaries, monitoring standards and procedures, file design and storage, and integration of systems through database design.
