We are seeking a Data Analyst to join the Cyber & Security Solutions area at our sites in Rome Laurentina and Catania, Italy. The role involves analyzing, transforming and validating large volumes of data; designing and developing batch and streaming data processing pipelines; collaborating with Data Engineering teams to implement ingestion and processing workflows; assessing data quality and supporting troubleshooting; optimizing queries and processing; and contributing to data model design and the Data Lake. A STEM degree is required, with Expert level experience (at least 2 years) as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer or equivalent. Technical skills include SQL, Python and Scala, and experience with Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Apache Airflow, S3-compatible object storage, Apache Trino (or equivalent distributed SQL engines), and familiarity with Parquet, Avro and Delta Lake; Linux and Git proficiency are also expected. Preferred qualifications include Java/Spring Boot, Kubernetes and Docker, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP), data versioning systems (Iceberg, Hudi or Delta Lake), orchestration/monitoring tools, and modern Data Lake/ Data Warehouse concepts. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and the ability to engage with technical and functional stakeholders are essential.
