Clark Nexsen, a JMT Company, is seeking a motivated Bridge Inspection Team Lead to join our bridge safety inspection practice. This on-site position is based in Herndon, Virginia, United States. The Bridge Inspection Team Lead will lead bridge inspection teams, perform NBIS-compliant structural condition assessments, and prepare thorough inspection reports. Responsibilities include coordinating with design engineers and other project engineers to complete tasks on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards; developing hours estimates and scopes for discipline work; tracking discipline budgets; overseeing sub-tasks; implementing quality control and quality assurance plans as guided by PMP practices; delegating tasks; coaching and mentoring design staff through the design process; providing client-facing consultative services, including meetings and timely updates; coordinating with sub-consultants and internal disciplines; preparing extra work order requests and contract task proposals; conducting alternative studies, evaluating impacts, and finalizing client reports; planning and scheduling detailed phases of the engineering work within a project; designing projects using advanced discipline knowledge and client specifications; performing design computations; preparing contract plans, specifications, and estimates; ensuring alignment across teams to meet deadlines and quality standards; providing technical oversight and guidance to Design Engineers; and, when applicable, leading and managing team members through performance management.
