Relativity Space is building Terran R rockets to expand launch capacity and enable science and exploration. This is an on-site role based in Long Beach, California, United States. As an Avionics Test Engineer II on the Avionics Test & Operations team, you will design, develop, and execute avionics testing strategies across the Terran R product lifecycle, from components to vehicle level. You will collaborate with the avionics design team to identify issues and develop automation and testing infrastructure to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Your responsibilities include developing frameworks and infrastructure to conduct qualification and acceptance testing of avionics components on the Terran R launch vehicle; designing equipment to facilitate avionics component testing (simulation circuits, auxiliary test equipment, test harnesses, mechanical fixtures and enclosures, and system validation tools); working with hardware and software engineers to derive test requirements and methodologies; creating and maintaining test plans and procedures for avionics systems; and integrating, commissioning, and operating test rack hardware and software to support component- and system-level functional testing.
