About the role

Cosm is a global technology company delivering immersive experiences. We are seeking an Associate Data Engineer to build and manage data pipelines powering Cosm Venues. The candidate will work with our data platform built on Databricks and AWS to implement incremental data flows and to join and transform both internal and external data sources. The ideal candidate will have experience with industry-standard tooling and a strong desire to learn new techniques. We expect all engineers and managers to be versatile, demonstrate leadership, and tackle new problems as we launch venues and push technology to new heights.

Responsibilities

Experience:

Build and maintain incremental, near real-time data pipelines
Collaborate with data users, analysts, and other consumers to deliver accurate, timely datasets
Perform end-to-end integration with internal and external data sources and consumers
Ensure the data team follows best practices for data cataloging, including code maintainability, data quality, and documentation
Learn and apply state-of-the-art techniques for managing complex workflows, such as incremental data flow
Contribute to a data-driven culture in a dynamic work environment
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience
0-2 years of experience developing data systems
Experience with critical systems impacting business operations
Expertise in Apache Spark, DataFrame API, using Python and SQL
Knowledge of incremental data flow or Medallion Architecture
Experience with Databricks Platf
