Janie and Jack is seeking an Accountant to support the accounting team with timely month-end close procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will maintain accuracy, efficiency, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment and will embrace new challenges as learning opportunities.
What you will do - Prepare journal entries and related supporting schedules. - Assist with month-end close to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. - Perform monthly account reconciliations and flux analysis. - Support documentation requests for financial reporting and audits. - Identify and implement process improvements. - Help establish and maintain financial policies and procedures to support new business activities and reporting requirements. - Perform ad-hoc projects as needed.
What you’ll bring - Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance. - 1-2 years of general ledger experience. - Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFS, formatting worksheets, etc.). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. - Strong communication skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
